Design for better lives. Design for better world.

“Design to Change the World” is the series of exhibitions that introduce innovative products that solved problems of people in developing countries. The first exhibition was held in May 2010, and it introduced about 80 products and projects, leading visitors to shift their point of view to those of people in developing countries. Designs in developed countries only deal with 10% of the world’s population. The exhibited products and projects are, in contrast, examples of designs that focused on the needs of rest of 90% to make their lives better and so they can live in dignity.

8 categories of global issues

In this exhibition, the issues in developing countries are categorized as following;

The exhibition presents products that created new solutions to these issues as well as creating new markets and employment.

Exhibition tour in Japan

Starting from Roppongi, Tokyo, in May 2010 the exhibition traveled several cities in Japan. “Design to Change the World Vol.2” was held in October 2012 in collaboration with Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. We exhibited products with unique and excellent designs which would be accepted not only in the developing countries but also in the developed countries. The tour includes exhibitions and workshops in Kobe, Osaka, Hamamatsu and more cities.
